Accessibility
We take issues of accessibility of the Cerne Abbas Village Hall to individuals or groups extremely seriously
External
- Disabled Parking spaces – immediately adjacent to the Village Hall main entrance
- Main Entrance – shallow approach slope, double doors, lit and easily visible
- Disabled Access – wide and level entrances
- Outdoor Social Areas – level and safe with wide access and bordered with fencing
- Automatic Outside Lighting
Internal
- Internal Doorways – all wide, main traffic areas have wheelchair-friendly double doors
- Disabled Toilets – clearly signed, brightly lit and ventilated
- Unisex baby changing facilities
- Emergency Exits – wide and level, fully signed and lit, leading in all cases to paved exit routes from the site to a marked public mustering area opposite the Village Hall
- Emergency Exit Plans showing Routes, Extinguishers and Muster areas are clearly displayed throughout the building
Special Provisions
- Bright Hall Lights in the Main Hall for the sight-impaired when required. They are dimmable for the photosensitive
