Cerne Abbas Village Hall serves many local clubs and societies, who can book the hall facilities at a discounted rate. Cerne Abbas Village Hall relies on the hire charges paid by non-residents, who pay a premium rate, to subsidize our many and valued local groups and societies. Any client paying the premium rate is entitled to a secured, imovable booking, once a deposit is paid and a confirmed entry has been added to the diary. There is an understanding that local clubs and societies will liaise amongst themselves if local bookings clash and make the booking secretary aware of any changes, in good time.
Any resident, currently living within the Cerne Valley Parish boundary is eligible for a discount. Please see the map below to check if you live within that boundary.
The usual rate for residents is 50% of the published premium rate. Cerne Abbas Village Hall serves a few minority interests, who could not survive without a heavy subsidy and the Village Hall Management Committee agrees the rate for each club and society.
To help you check your bookings, and re-arrange dates if necessary, we offer a protected calendar. Please apply for a password from the booking secretary, if you would like to refer to the calendar. Please note it is impossible for you to change any calendar entries. All changes must go through the booking secretary, who will enter the details once agreed.
The calendar is available here.
